HiveRadar Inc. ("HiveRadar", "we", "us", or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard personal information in connection with the website located at www.hiveradar.com and any associated subdomains (the "Site"), and our related business activities.

This Policy is intended to comply with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy laws of Canada. Sections 6 and 9 provide additional information for individuals located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and other jurisdictions where extraterritorial privacy laws may apply.

1. Scope

This Policy applies to personal information we collect through the Site, through email or telephone communications with us, at trade shows and industry events, and in the course of selling and supporting our products and services to business customers, dealers, and partners.

It does not apply to personal information handled by our resellers, distributors, or operators of third-party websites linked from the Site. Those parties have their own privacy policies.

2. Personal Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of personal information:

Information you provide directly. When you submit a form on the Site (for example, a contact form, pricing request, feature request, OEM inquiry, engineer locator submission, or event sign-up), contact us by email or telephone, or meet us at an event, we collect the information you choose to share. This typically includes your name, business email address, telephone number, company name, job title, country, billing and remit-to information, and the content of your inquiry. When you pay an invoice or quote through a payment link we provide, you will also enter payment information (such as cardholder name and credit card details) on a secure page hosted by our payment processor; that information is collected and processed by the payment processor, and we do not store full credit card numbers.

Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, we and our selected analytics providers automatically collect technical information such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, pages viewed, and timestamps. We also collect information through cookies and similar technologies, as described in our Cookies Notice.

Information from third-party sources. We may receive business contact information about you from third-party business intelligence and data enrichment services, public sources, business directories, trade show organizers, and our partners, dealers, and distributors. This is used to support our sales, marketing, and dealer-channel activities directed at organizations.

Information from business interactions. In the course of doing business with our customers, dealers, and partners, we collect information about authorized contacts at those organizations, including names, business contact details, shipping and billing information, records of communications, orders, support cases, and warranty registrations.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The Site is intended for business and professional use.

3. How We Use Personal Information

We use personal information for the following purposes:

• To respond to your inquiries and provide the products, services, quotes, and information you request.
• To process payments and fulfill orders, including shipping, customs clearance, billing, and warranty service.
• To manage and develop our business relationships with customers, dealers, distributors, partners, and prospects.
• To send relevant marketing communications about our products and services, where permitted by law. You can opt out at any time as described in Section 8.
• To operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site and our products, including analyzing usage patterns and diagnosing technical issues.
• To meet our legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations, including export control compliance, customs and trade documentation, tax and accounting records, and dispute resolution.
• To detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, security incidents, and misuse of the Site, our products, or our services.

4. Legal Basis for Processing

Under PIPEDA, we rely on your consent (which may be express or implied based on the context of the interaction) to collect, use, and disclose personal information. In some cases, we may rely on other lawful grounds, such as performance of a contract, compliance with a legal obligation, or a legitimate business interest that does not override your privacy interests.

For individuals located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process personal information on one or more of the following legal bases under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or UK GDPR:

• Consent, where you have provided it (for example, for certain marketing communications).
• Contract, where processing is necessary to enter into or perform a contract with you or your organization.
• Legitimate interests, including operating our business, communicating with business contacts, securing the Site, and engaging in direct business-to-business marketing, balanced against your rights.
• Legal obligation, where processing is required to comply with applicable law, including export control and trade compliance laws.

5. How We Share Personal Information

Where reasonably practical, we host core customer records on infrastructure we directly manage. Some operational functions rely on cloud service providers, as described below.

Where necessary, we share personal information only as described in this Policy:

Enterprise Communication Tools. We use cloud service providers, such as Google Workspace, to manage our company email and internal communications.

Payment Processors. Credit card transactions are processed securely through third-party gateways (such as Stripe). We do not store full credit card numbers on our on-premise servers.

Shipping and Logistics Partners. We share names, addresses, and necessary contact details with carriers (such as UPS or DHL) and customs brokers to successfully fulfill and deliver international and domestic product orders.

Analytics and Business Intelligence. We share technical and usage data with specialized providers (such as Google Analytics and Apollo.io) to analyze site traffic, understand usage patterns, and identify visiting business organizations.

Dealers, distributors, and partners. Where you express interest in our products, depending on your region, we may share your contact information and inquiry with an authorized dealer, distributor, or partner to facilitate quoting, fulfillment, or local support.

Affiliates. We may share personal information with our affiliates and entities under common ownership for the purposes described in this Policy.

Legal and regulatory disclosures. We may disclose personal information when required to do so by law, court order, customs or export-control authorities, or other legal process, or to protect our rights, property, or safety, or that of others.

Business transactions. In the event of a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of all or part of our business or assets (including our intellectual property), personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable privacy law.

We do not sell personal information.

6. International Transfers

We are headquartered in Canada and sell our products internationally. While we host core customer records on infrastructure we directly manage where reasonably practical, personal information shared with our analytics, payment, logistics, and enterprise communication providers may be processed and stored in the United States, the European Union, the United Kingdom, and other countries where those service providers or our partners operate.

When personal information is transferred outside of Canada or outside of your jurisdiction, it may be subject to the laws of the receiving country and to access by foreign authorities. We take reasonable steps to ensure appropriate protections are in place, including through contractual safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses where applicable) and technical measures.

7. Retention

We retain personal information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, to comply with our legal, contractual, regulatory, and warranty obligations, and to resolve disputes or enforce our agreements. Retention periods depend on the type of information and the context of its use. Records related to product orders, warranty, and trade compliance may be retained for longer periods to meet applicable legal requirements. When personal information is no longer required, we securely delete or anonymize it.

8. Your Choices and Rights

You have the following rights with respect to personal information we hold about you, subject to applicable law:

• Access. You may request access to the personal information we hold about you.
• Correction. You may request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete personal information.
• Withdrawal of consent. You may withdraw consent to our collection, use, or disclosure of your personal information, subject to legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice. Withdrawal of consent may affect our ability to provide you with certain products or services.
• Marketing opt-out. You may opt out of marketing communications at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions in any marketing email we send, or by contacting us using the details in Section 11.
• Complaint. You may make a complaint to us about our handling of your personal information, or to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at www.priv.gc.ca.

Individuals located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or other jurisdictions with extraterritorial privacy laws may have additional rights, including the right to erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and to object to processing. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

9. Security

We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against loss, theft, unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use, or modification. No method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

If we become aware of a privacy breach that poses a real risk of significant harm, we will notify affected individuals and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada as required by law, and any other supervisory authority as required under applicable foreign privacy law.

10. Cookies and Tracking

Our use of cookies and similar technologies is described in our Cookies Notice. The Site uses analytics and business intelligence tools that may identify visiting organizations to support our business activities.
